We all have our somber days and want to reach out to something comforting. Especially, now when we are working from home, it is no secret that we are all on double duty. It’s exhausting. At times like these, it is my cup of vanilla coffee that puts me to ease. The creaminess of vanilla passes a wave of comfort to the body. Just imagine, the aroma of vanilla with coffee sends a refreshing signal to the olfactory nerves and the body.
The bond we share is special and pure. For me, it is not just a cup of coffee but my cup of solace. Now that we all are stationed at home with stringent measures like social distancing, we are finally getting our time together. It’s like a warm hug in a cup! My coffee waits patiently when I am typing away on my system to keep up the timelines. We reminisce the times we waltzed around the city and trotted around the globe together. Or just want to sink together on the couch after a long day and binge-watch our favorite shows on Netflix. The quote that best suits my feeling here is ‘It’s amazing how the world begins to change through the eyes of a cup of coffee’ by Donna A. Favors.
Yeah, I am in love with coffee. This affair dates back to the days when I had my first cup at Starbucks. As Tom Hanks laments in one of his movies, ordering a cup of coffee tests your decision-making abilities at once! It took me a while to settle down for the one that could understand and cheer me, and it was worth the wait. TALL-LOW FAT-CAPPUCCINO! As the days went by, we talked to school together. Within a couple of days, the order changed to a GRANDE-LOW FAT- CAPPUCINO and walked home from school too. And rest is all a history.
We have come a long way together. And it wouldn’t have been easier without coffee’s support. While I am sharing my coffee love story with you, I realize its time to replenish my cup. Eager to know your coffee love story.
