Coffee tasting programme led by India’s first Q grader
About the Expert : Sunalini N Menon,
India’s first Q Grader, Founder of Coffee Lab – India
She is a post graduate in Food Technology and has spent more than 50 years in coffee in the arena of quality, starting her career as Director (Quality) at the Indian Coffee Board. She is a quality evaluator, trainer, professor, coffee blender, developer of green coffee brands, judge in Barista coffee competitions around the world. She is currently on the board of the Specialty Coffee Association in the US and Europe.
Session Flow :
- Discussion on Post Harvest Processing and its effect on the quality of coffee
- Cupping of Standard coffees of Washed Arabica, Honey Arabica, Cherry Arabica, Washed Robusta, Honey Robusta and Cherry Robusta
- Espresso and Pour-over tasting of Light, Medium and Dark Roasted coffees or 2 Different Blends
- A Fun Skill Exercise, where the participants will work in groups, to examine how much they have learnt from the day’s program
Session Includes :
- Certification to be provided at the end of the session.
- Lunch will be provided at the venue
